Remember that each one of us have gifts that were given us by God.These gifts are unearned, undeserved, yet freely given. Please prayerfully consider your gifts and how you are being called to use them. We are in dire need of Eucharistic ministers. This ministry is a very special way to become more active in, and to help nourish our Parish Community. We are meant to give to and receive from one another. Please try for 3 months (3 -4 times) at the mass of your choice. There is training and scheduling is made around your needs. We really need help at 5:00 and 11:00 masses, but all masses are in need of extra people. Please call the office 510.525.0876 for more information.
Reminder: Payment for the 75th Jubilee ($28/person) is due by Wednesday, September 14.
We will have photos albums and memorabilia on display after the 9:00 am masses throughout September and at the 75th Jubilee on Sunday, September 25.
Please post if anyone needs a ride or is interested in carpooling to the Galileo Club on Sunday, September 25, to please call the parish office (510-525-0876) or email: email@example.com
Did you know that St. Jerome Parish was established in 1941? Monsignor James Rohan was the founding pastor (1941-1973). He succeeded in building a mission-style church. A school and convent were added in 1955.
The Confirmation Team attended mass this past Sunday at The Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland (our diocese). They were honored by being mentioned before the service began and a fond hello was sent to Fr Fernando. After mass the teens, parents and/or sponsors and team members toured the Cathedral. More photos can be seen at St. Jerome Catholic Church‘s Facebook page.
It was a fun evening at the Annual Dinner Dance featuring The Don Krieger Big Band. It was a wonderful dinner….salad, roasted pork, mashed potatoes, French-style green beans and dessert of vanilla ice cream and cookies.
Many thanks to the volunteer organizers.
You can see the full photo album at St Jerome Catholic Church FB page…..sorry the album won’t link this morning.
