The Bishop has anticipated our inquiries about Ash Wednesday by issuing special directives regarding Ash Wednesday. Small amounts of blessed ashes will be sprinkled on people’s heads. No crosses will be marked on foreheads by touch. In truth, this is the most ancient custom regarding ashes, especially as the rite was administered for women in this fashion. We will all practice this, men and women, this year.
Our distribution times – with no ceremonies – are as follows:
8am to 9am – Rohan Hall Patio
6pm to 9pm – Rohan Hall Patio.
Church is open for visits 8am to 9pm on Ash Wednesday.
