Dear Sisters & Brothers in Christ,

Fides Eccesiae

You are invited to attend a fundraising show called “Fides Eccesiae” at the Fox Theatre at 2221 Broadway Street in Redwood City, CA on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at either 2 PM or 7 PM.  As Bro. Gerry Torres, Lay Director of the Los Angeles Filipino Cursillo Community, describes in his email below, proceeds of this show will go towards Typhoon Yolanda victims in the Philippines and also to help Filipino priests in America attend an annual convention in Florida in November 2014.   This show is a musical evolving around the lives of St. Pedro Calungsod (2nd Filipino saint) and St. Kateri Tekakwitha (1st Native American saint).

More than 30 of our Los Angeles Filipino Cursillo clergy, brothers, and sisters will be in the cast, choir, and other supporting roles.  It would be great if our Northern California Cursillistas from the Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose Dioceses could come out to greet and support our Southern California brethren in their noble, artistic project.  Think of this as a joyful Christmas reunion of friends to follow upon the memorable Regional Grand Ultreya that the San Jose Filipino Cursillo Community graciously hosted for us on back on August 24, 2013.

Please invite your family and friends, and let’s begin the Advent season with a celebratory performance that will raise our spirits and that of those in the Philippines who need our help.   Please see the attached flyer for ticket information and Bro.
